Hydraulic, Grade-A, recycled paper mulches from Ferguson Waterworks for professionals

Paper Mulches: Profile® Cellulose

This hydraulic mulch is 100% grade-A recycled paper. It is ideal for general seeding and has a maximum slope length of 15 feet. Due to its high-quality fibers, it mixes with water at an accelerated rate, offering long suspension. As a result, it is more uniform in its consistency.

Paper Mulch with Tackifier is also available. Pre-blended and non-toxic, it provides extra holding power which then protects the seeds from washing or eroding.

  • High quality 100% cellulose fiber mixes in water at an accelerated rate and stays in suspension for more uniform consistency
  • Exclusive defibration and production processes improve water-holding capacity
  • Ideal cover for general seeding
  • Maximum slope length of 15 feet (4.6 m)
  • Functional longevity is ≤ 3 months
Profile Wood Mulches from Ferguson Waterworks

Wood Mulches: Profile® Wood

Delivering up to 50% more water-holding capacity and germination, this extraordinary Wood Mulch offers customers maximum soil coverage, resulting in a greater value. Profile Wood mulch is made with Thermally Refined® recycled wood fibers. Add a Tackifier to enhance binding and prevent erosion.

  • Delivers up to 50% more water-holding capacity and germination than atmospherically refined wood mulches
  • Provides maximum soil coverage for greater value
  • Delivers farther and smoother shooting for greater productivity
  • Maximum slope length of 20 feet (6.1 m)
  • Functional longevity is ≤ 3 months

Mulch Blends: Profile® Blend

Profile’s Blend mulch combines 100% Thermally Refined® wood fibers with the highest quality cellulose, paper, and fiber in a 7:3 ratio per bag. In comparison to similar products, our specialty Mulch Blend offers superior germination, reduced washouts, and fewer callbacks.

  • The blend of wood and cellulose is both easy to mix and spray, combining good yield and erosion control qualities
  • Easy to use and load in equipment – goes into suspension at an accelerated rate, allowing for uniform ground coverage
  • Absorbs water rapidly, forming a homogeneous slurry
  • Maximum slope length of 15 feet (4.6 m)
  • Functional longevity is ≤ 3 months

Mulch Blends: Profile® SB 50/50

Profile’s SB 50/50 composition is a 1:1 ratio of clean cellulose and exceptional Thermally Refined® wood fibers. In comparison to similar products, our specialty Mulch Blend offers superior germination, reduced washouts, and fewer callbacks.

  • Performs as well as traditional mulch blends for vegetation establishment
  • Mixes faster with higher loading than traditional wood-based blends (60 lb/100 gal compared to 50 lb/100 gal)
  • Does not form a paper-mache crust
  • Maximum slope length of 20 feet (6.1 m)
  • Functional longevity is ≤ 3 months

BioCover

BioCover hydromulch meets federal regulations, is less expensive than other alternative seed covers, and applies easily. Manufactured using Thermally Refined® wood fibers, cellulose fibers, and a viscous hydro-colloid tackifier, BioCover is a superior alternative to soil, mulch, or plastic daily covers. This is because it creates a uniform and protective layer that is drastically thinner than comparably effective soil applications. Furthermore, increasing its available space and functional lifespan.

CoverGrow

This advanced, dry-applied granular mulch technology is made from recycled wood and cellulose fibers. Once applied to a seeded area and activated by water, the granules quickly expand and disperse. As a result, it provides outstanding protection and water-holding performance. Civil engineers, landscape architects, and construction professionals use CoverGrow for both spot-treating smaller bare spots and also hydro-spraying larger areas.

What benefits does hydromulch provide?

Hydraulically applied mulches save a lot of time and labor during installation. Furthermore, it serves as a beneficial alternative to sod for erosion control, steep hill slopes, and commercial and residential landscaping. When the hydromulch layer cures atop your subgrade, it creates a crust that wicks stormwater over the protected zone. As a result, the new seed and soil do not wash away during storm events. When mixed with seed and fertilizer, hydraulically applied mulch forms a homogeneous slurry that ensures an evenly distributed stand of grass.

What applications benefit from hydromulch?

Hydraulically applied mulch is ideal for a variety of revegetation applications. For example, golf courses, highway work, landfills, reclamation projects, and recreational areas. Ferguson Waterworks offers a variety of mulch products to ensure customers get the solutions best suited for their specific application. In addition to these blends, customers can incorporate other soil amendments, like tackifiers.

Why choose Profile® Cellulose Mulch and other Profile Mulch products?

Profile Products, the makers of Flexterra® HP-FGM™, is the world’s largest manufacturer of hydraulic mulches. Furthermore, it is unsurpassed when it comes to developing new erosion control and vegetation establishment technologies. Any Profile hydraulic mulch you use or specify represents “best in class.” Our cellulose mulch and cellulose fiber mulch with tackifier are no exception. Every bag and pallet of mulch is individually weighed to ensure consistent low-moisture content for reliable coverage you can’t get from competitive products.

What is Profile Blend Mulch?

Profile® Blend Mulch and Blend Mulch with Tackifier combine 100% recycled Thermally Refined® wood fibers with best-in-class cellulose fibers. As a result, it delivers enhanced water-holding capacity, allowing for better germination, fewer washouts, and reduced callbacks. Blend mulch with tackifier comes pre-blended with tackifier, a three-dimensional blend of polymers, and polysaccharides, in order to further reduce or minimize seed washout and erosion.

What benefits does CoverGrow provide?

The benefits of CoverGrow include Increased swelling, dispersion, and coverage in comparison to leading dry-applied pellets. CoverGrow resists the impact of rainfall to stay in place longer than the competition due to advanced tackifier technology. In addition, CoverGrow offers faster loading, smooth shooting, and enhanced ground coverage for both dry and also hydroseeding applications.
